I graduated from VCU/MCV in 1989 with my Bachelor of Science in Nursing. I worked at St. Mary’s Hospital in Richmond, VA as an RN from 1989-1993. In 1993, I started my pursuit to obtain my Master’s in Nursing, specializing in Anesthesia, and becoming a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) in 1995, graduating from VCU/MCV.
I graduated with honors, being awarded The Agatha Hodgins award in both years of my graduate program.
The Agatha Hodgins award is presented to the nurse anesthesia student/graduate who has demonstrated dedication to excellence and outstanding achievement in both academics and clinical practice.
I have been providing safe and compassionate nursing/anesthesia care to my patients for over 30 years.
I am a member of the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists and the Virginia Association of Nurse Anesthetists. I am BLS, ACLS and PALS certified.
When I am not providing anesthesia care, I am spending time with my many four legged kids, I have my hands in the dirt in my many flower beds for therapy, and traveling with my husband.
